Vertientes, Dec. 7.- The Ignacio Agramonte y Loynaz obelisk, a historical site that pays tribute to the Mayor, welcomed young people and students, who strongly repudiated the imperialist lies against the Cuban people and reaffirmed their firm position with the Revolution.
The act was represented by AlexeyCovasSurí, first secretary of the Union of Young Communists (UJC) in Vertientes; Danelis Diaz Sosa, member of the municipal bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) that serves the political and ideological sphere; officials and political cadres of the UJC in the territory and representation of young people who make up the Federation of High School Students (FEEM).
During the exchange, the students presented their arguments of firm support for the Cuban Revolution: they reaffirmed its anti-imperialist character; his attachment to the ideas of José Martí and Fidel; never to give in to the lies of the United States government and its conviction to defend this land at any cost.
The moment also served as a stage to recognize several students and young people, who stood out throughout this stage in which the island faces the global pandemic of Covid-19 and in the tasks convened by the student organizations of the different educational centers of the municipality.
The central words were given by the first secretary of the Union of Young Communists of the municipality, who ratified those present his gratitude for seeing young people so committed to the Revolution; in his speech, he invited everyone to preserve the historical legacy left by so many heroes who died in the pro-independence feats; the illustrious example of Mayor Ignacio Agramonte, the undisputed leader of the Camagüey people and who feels truly satisfied that the Vertientino people are continuity.
These are important moments, where the enemy constantly creates lies and insults against the Cuban Revolution; it besieges with its desire for dominance, uses blackmail and bribes in order to pretend to take over this nation that has been victorious for 62 years; but the Vertientino people are aware of the moment we are living; events like those that happened in the Cuban capital, we will not allow it; Young people are continuity, we support our president Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and we tell him that the people are Fidel.
